turbo turbo turbo. congrats man. remember to let your car sit and idle after you stop from a fast run to let the turbo cool down. my 300zx has twin oil-cooled intercoolers.. i don't know what the GS-T has, but the purpose is to keep the turbos as cool as possible. they spin at up to 100,000 rpm! they can get real hot, and heat is bad. dude, take the car out on a hot and humid day, and compare that to a cool 40 degree morning, and that's kinda what the intercooler does for the turbo. i'm also not familiar w/ what type of bov system the GS-T has..my z has a recirculating valve that instead of blowing off boost it recirculates it back into the system. basically when your turbo is boosting and you change gears, for that split second when you're shifting there's no where for the boost to go, and it actually slows the turbine down. w/ a BOV (blow off valve), that boost is released during shifting and makes a neato loud sound, so then when the car is in gear again the turbo is already spooled (spinning and producing boost) upgrades for a turbo car produce much more results than for an N/A (naturally aspirated car). A highflow air intake and a highflow exhaust are primary upgrades. the bigger exhaust the better. also an ecu upgrade is awesome as the fuel/air ratios can be changed to take full advantage of the intake and exhaust. also, an ecu upgrade can raise boost, raise rev limiter, and get rid of any governors. dude, i love turbo cars, you just have to take care of em..change the oil EVERY 3000 miles or sooner if you're nutso about it. i use mobil one in my turbo car. also, since your car is so new, a turbo timer isn't a bad idea. a turbo timer lets the car sit and idle a few minutes after you turn the car off and take the key out in order to cool off the turbos. dude, sorry this is so long, i love talkin about turbo cars. anymore questions, please post em up. hope somethin in here is helpful.
